Legal contracts can be confusing and expensive. We created Simply Contract because we believe creatives deserve the luxury of spending their time focusing on their crafts - we take the complexity out of the legal aspect.
After graduating magna cum laude from UCLA and graduating from Northwestern Law School, I spent five years practicing corporate law at some of the largest, most presitigious law firms in the world (Los Angeles, NYC, Chicago and Sao Paulo, Brazil). Not long after I decided to make a switch to follow my passion in photography, I began hearing complaints and receiving inquiries from fellow creatives/business owners/entrepreneurs about the difficulty of obtaining solid legal contracts at an affordable price.
Common phrases and questions I heard were "I'm just starting out, I can't afford a lawyer," "I downloaded my contract off the internet, I just hope nothing goes wrong," "should I be an LLC or a corporation?"
As an attorney, I know the importance of having a strong contract in place that protects you in the event anything goes wrong. Procrastinating and "hoping that doesn't happen to you" is a recipe for disaster. As a small business owner, I also understand the necessity of spending precious resources wisely.
I decided there needed to be a solution and got to work building Simply Contract!
Simply Contract provides easy to fill-in legal forms created specifically for creatives and small business owners by Ivy League educated and large law firm trained attorneys. The contracts have your specific concerns in mind at a fraction of the cost of what you would pay an attorney to draft an equivalent contract for your business - so you can focus your time and money on building your business.
